Natalia Oddi Vergnani is a Costa Rican–Italian flutist, educator, and cultural project creator whose work connects classical performance with intercultural musical dialogue.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree with highest honors from the University of Costa Rica and a Master’s Degree from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Milan. During her studies, she received First Prize at the National Chamber Music Competition for Young Musicians (Wind Quintet category) and won the Honor Competition of the Escuela de Artes Musicales at the University of Costa Rica.

Her orchestral career began at an international level, serving as Principal Flute of the Central American Youth Orchestra (Guatemala) and Principal Flute of the Alfredo Saint-Malo International Music Festival Orchestra (Panama). In Europe, she performed with several ensembles and orchestras, including the Pianolink Orchestra and the Brianzaclassica Orchestra, where she served for several years as Principal Flute.

From 2019 to 2023 she was a member of The Other Winds, an ensemble dedicated to Middle Eastern repertoire with which she recorded and performed extensively in Italy. Alongside her performance career, Natalia has over 16 years of experience in music education and has developed her own pedagogical approach, “The Third Way of Sound”, which integrates technical rigor, listening awareness, and personal expression.

She is the founder and artistic director of Harmony Beyond Borders Foundation, an international cultural initiative dedicated to fostering intercultural dialogue through music, artistic collaboration, and educational projects.

Through concerts, workshops, and interdisciplinary initiatives, Natalia explores music not only as performance, but as a space for listening, cultural exchange, and human connection.
